Text Messaging Program

How StoryHouse text messages work, and how you consent to them.

StoryHouse is a private, invitation-only family storytelling service. With a participant's permission, StoryHouse can deliver gentle life-story questions to their mobile phone by text message. This page describes that program and exactly how consent is obtained.

How you opt in (consent)

You will only ever receive StoryHouse texts if both of the following happen:

A family member (the account holder) enters your mobile number during setup and confirms that you have agreed to receive these messages.
You receive a one-time confirmation text and reply YES. No life-story questions are sent unless you reply YES. If you do nothing, or reply STOP, you receive nothing further.

Numbers are never purchased, rented, or obtained from third parties.

Opt-in confirmation (the first message you receive):

Program details

Message frequency: Recurring, on the schedule your family chooses — typically one to four messages per month.

Cost: Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out: Reply STOP at any time and you will receive no further messages.
