Effective July 4, 2026
StoryHouse is a private, invitation-only family storytelling service that helps families gather and keep a loved one's life story. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed StoryHouse to be private by default, and we treat your family's stories with care.
If a mobile number is provided and text message is chosen as the delivery method, StoryHouse sends life-story question prompts by SMS. Message frequency varies by the schedule the family selects — typically between one and several messages per week. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for assistance. You may also ask the family member who invited you, or contact us at the address below, to be removed.
We do not sell or share your information for marketing.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with service providers (such as our messaging and email delivery partners) solely to operate the service. Text-messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties for their own marketing.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run StoryHouse — for example, our SMS provider (Twilio) and email provider (Resend) — and only as needed to deliver the service. We may disclose information if required by law.
Your family's stories are kept for as long as your StoryHouse is active, so they remain available to you. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. You can ask us to delete your account and its contents at any time.
StoryHouse is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page.
